Upcoming Conference .... 2023!
2023 FABENZ 6th Biennial Conference
Facing Forward: Future Focus for Foundation and Bridging Education.
The conference is being held 30 November -1 December 2023
Tiakiwai Conference Centre, National Library of New Zealand
Corner Molesworth & Aitken St, Wellington
Further details to be added here as they are finalised. Please contact us if you have any questions.
You are invited to submit papers to be delivered in workshop/discussion style that are suitable for online and/or in person mode. The focus is to be on active engagement with, and between, participants.
There are opportunities to facilitate Round Tables (practices, policy, research in progress) or to present on your research.
Round Tables will be “sit-down” discussions. Materials and artefacts may be shared at the table (with a limit of no more than four powerpoint slides). The role of the facilitator is to draw participants into conversations on their topic.
Presentations of research may be more formal but you are encouraged to plan for productive participant engagement and minimal use of ppt.
A publication of referred papers will follow the conference. If you would like to have your presentation included in the collation, you are encouraged to signal this when completing the abstract form.
The conference schedule will include 50-min slots for parallel sessions as above.
You are invited to submit a 300-word abstract outlining the session you wish to facilitate by Saturday 30 September 2023 (note change from earlier date of Friday 1 September 2023). We will respond to your submission by Monday 16 October 2023.
The purpose of these scholarships is to support attendance at the 2023 FABENZ conference. We have five $200 scholarships on offer to help cover travel, accommodation and/or registration.
